Isothermal phase transition in the cell envelope and its biological importance

It is shown that the oxygen permeability of human erythrocyte membrane can change in ten thousands times and cytoplasmic membrane of muscular tissue cells – in 300 times. The molecular mechanism of corresponding membrane reconstruction is suggested. The experimental results, that confirms this mechanism are given. Many peculiarities of bloodstream system, which have not any table explanation, are easy explained by means of suggested molecular mechanism of membrane reconstruction.

 


Advanced methods of the assessment of the Earth's crust seismic potential

Some advanced methods of the assessment of the Earth's crust seismic potential (maximal possible potential energy of earthquake, Mmax) are discussed. This value, alongside with recurrence interval of the earthquakes is one of the major characteristics while conducting the seismic zoning and development of the regulatory guides for building within seismic hazardous regions. It is shown that in the Seismotectonics Laboratory of the Institute of the Physics of the Earth RAS all the three major fields of Seismotectonics aimed at the seismic potential assessment are developed. First, this is «on the hot traces» study of the strongest earthquake sources occurred recently in the different geological-geophysical conditions. Secondly, this is investigation of the ancient strongest earthquake sources through relief forms and near surface cross-sections received due to the excavation of the trenches («trenching»). At last, third is connected with distinguishing by the set of the geological-geophysical data those areas of the Earth's crust which are analogous in their characteristics to the earthquake source zones revealed by geological or but seismological techniques. It is supposed that earthquakes of equal maximal Mmax may occur in the Earth's crust with similar seismotectonic conditions. The examples of the listed approach employing both integrated and separately within different tectonic regions of the Northern Eurasia are given.

 


Non-homogeneous Fermi-Pasta-Ulam lattice for description of the earthquake source dynamics

One may state the absence of a progress in the earthquake prediction papers. The short-term prediction (diurnal period, localisation being also predicted) has practical meaning. Failure is due to the absence of the adequate notions about geological media, particularly, its block structure and especially in the faults.

Geological and geophysical monitoring give the basis for the notion about geological media as open block dissipative system with limit energy saturation. The variations of the volume stressed state close to critical states are associated with the interaction of the inhomogeneous ascending stream of light gases (helium and hydrogen) with solid phase, which is more expressed in the faults. In the background state small blocks of the fault medium produce the sliding of great blocks in the faults. But for the considerable variations of ascending gas streams the formation of bound chains of small blocks is possible, so that bound state of great blocks may result (earthquake source).  

Recently using these notions we proposed a dynamical earthquake source model, based on the generalized chain of non-linear bound oscillators of Fermi-Pasta-Ulam type (FPU). The generalization concerns its inhomogenization and different external actions, imitating physical processes in the real source. The properties of non-homogeneous Fermi-Pasta-Ulam lattice (FPU) as principal structural elements of the earthquake sources are studied for great and little times. FPU recurrence as principal property of the homogeneous lattice is confirmed for general case of non-homogeneous lattices including strong stochastic non-homogeneous ones. Different actions (shocks, periodic and stochastic) on lattice are studied in order to simulate the real conditions in the source. The decays of lattices and simple source as a consequence of their dynamic instability for great amplitude perturbations are studied for little times and in the case of different amplitudes for great times. Discrete properties are discovered for life times of the lattices so that the jumps arrive for little perturbations. Besides, the decay times of lattice are quantified and have three equidistant levels. In is shown, that jumps of the life times decrease under action of slow growing strains proportionally their rate. The decays of simple model source consisting of three lattices have been considered.


Terminal guidance of aeroballistic flying vehicle

We have stated the principles of the terminal guidance of an aeroballistic flying vehicle (ABFV), which is difficult to calculate because the a priori information about the movement trajectory shape is absent. The terminal guidance is performed by controlling the angle of pitch of ABFV(X). We have given substantiation for the form of the law of controlling the angle of pitch, based on condition when the requirements to the dynamics to the guidance system are satisfied. We have shown that to achieve stability and good quality of control by on-board computer, we should include afterburner section by means of algorithms and then the law controlling the angle of pitch has the following form  Where the deviation of the angle of a velocity vector slope,  is. The simulation of ABFV flight has confirmed the theoretical results of the paper.

 


Sorter as a mean of struggle with leukemia

The problem of creation of the sorter devices for allocation of cell monoculture from heterogeneous mix of cell-cultures is considered, one of which carries pathogenic character. In particular, it is considered citometer for radical cleaning of medulla cells intends for treatment of leukemia.

The analysis of the biophysical factors influencing on efficiency of division cell heterocultures, by various method of allocation on monoculture is carried out, for example, on the basis of division of a mix with the help of antibodies connected with fluorescent or magnetic markers. The various system of devices for division are offered and the comparative characteristics are appreciated connected with fluorescent or magnetic markers.

 


The practical problems of using integral formula for discounting the continuous cash flows in post-prediction period

The specific ways of application the integral formula for discounting the cash flows introduced by the authors are offered in the article. Earlier if was proved by the authors («Science and Technology in Russia» 2001, 4–5 (48–49)) that using the integral discounting formula V= CF(t)exp(-qt)dt, the Zero Growth and Gordon models leads to the well known classic results. In the given article the integral discounting tool is applied to the more complicated models, particularly, to the model of a constant grows with a continuously reducing grows rate. For the first time the analytic expression for this case was derived.

Also the models are considered to demonstrate a great potential of the integral discounting formula applied to a complicated configuration cash flows analyses. Solutions for corresponding integral equations by means of the Laplac transformation are considered.

 


On discreteness and finiteness in nature

About Mechanics of Civilizations

We offer the sociomechanical methodology of learning historical process, that based on the concept of «locus of the future». We revealed the possibility to create definite conformations (versions) of the future, having the influence at locus' dynamics with innovation technology.

We can show that general tendencies of the currant phase of social evolution forms with «physical» (producing) technology, but the distribution of the probabilities of the release of that tendencies as one or another version of the future is determinate (non-producing, «ruling») technologies.

We formulate the sociomechanical principle of the correspondence. According this principle space of the «physical» and so called humane technologies normally have to be posses equal power. Breaking the balance of this technologies interpret as civilization" approaching to one of two coherent structural limits – the limit of the complication or limit of the poverty. We determinate mechanism (cultureregism), that permit to elude catastrophic attractors, arising at the moment when socium reaches «the limits of civilization».

 


«Civilization's Mechanics» – for the statement of problem

«About civilization's mechanics» paper's authors are considering the possibilities of decision of global society development problems by way of the «technologies» management of this development. The problem of global changes (climatic, economic, social etc.) is famous one but only separate parts of this phenomenon are studying. The complex analysis wilt appear in future and authors of this paper take into account important part of problem. It is marked out the introduction of two limits (the limit of complicity and the limit of proofs) as the main useful idea. The authors are thinking that crises and social catastrophes will appear when a line of society development will close to one of these limits. An overcoming of these two types of limit leads to catastrophic changing. The management of society must reduce to «technologic» keeping of the developing line in equal distance of both limits as authors are thinking. It are compared the authors approach with the ones by Donella Meadows group (the model, which takes into account the natural resources as main) and by S.P.Kapitza group (the model, which takes into account the human population resources as main). The novelty of authors approach marked out, that attempt analyses of «phases» change itself based on existence of third type of resource – «culture-technology» one. The author's aspiration to drive of society development without basement of knowledge about the laws of this development take into consideration by us as dangerous trend.
